Canon ImagePROGRAF iPF820 wins BLI "Pick 2008 Outstanding Wide Format" award

To add to the array of awards the Image Prograf series have won this year, now the 44" iPF 820 has received "Outstanding Wide Format Colour Inkjet Multipurpose printer award" from the independant Buyers Lab Inc (BLI). The award comes after BLI carried out extensive tests with the product at their laboratory in Wokingham.
Shane Burchett, Product Manager for Canon said "We are very pleased to have won this award, as it not only positions the product as an outstanding product in the market, but it also demonstrates the products ability to be used in both the CAD and Graphic Arts markets". David Sweetnam BLI European Lab and Research Manager adds "This device displayed exceptional print quality across a wide range of applications, from maps and architectural plans printed on standard bond paper to high quality photographs printed on Canon's premium photo paper". Sweetman also cited the products dual roll ability to quickly switch between paper types, as a contributing factor to the units excellent productivity rating as well as the excellent paper handling and reliablity of performance. The report also goes on to state "The imagePROGRAF iPF820 is an example of Canon's leading technology and tradition for high quality, outstanding colours and exceptional print speeds.
